Be Better Than Yesterday

Be Better Than Yesterday

Better than Yesterday

Have you hit a point where you find yourself going through the motions at the gym? Do you follow coach’s warm-up and then move through each piece of the WOD with no real intention? Even if your answer is no, this message is still important. Keep it simple…be better than yesterday. Dedicate your hour at the gym to bettering yourself so you can be better than the day before. Here are a few tips that can help put you in a better head space and get you back on track!

Keep a Journal. By writing down your workouts and PRs, you will have something tangible that will show you just how much you are improving day after day!

Tell your Coach. Your coach will keep you accountable and help you focus on whatever you want to improve. Maybe you want to get stronger, improve your gymnastics, or just “be more fit.” Whatever your goals, share them with a coach so they can keep you on track.

Crush Negative Thoughts. You’re going to have days where you feel like you have failed. You’re going to have days where you feel you could’ve pushed harder or given more to your workout, but don’t allow these thoughts to consume you. Remember, each and every day presents and new opportunity to better yourself.

All too often, we neglect acknowledging our progress. Allow yourself to find satisfaction and happiness in your small victories as well as in the process of becoming a better version of yourself. There doesn’t have to be any pressure or stress associated with your goals, big or small. As you head to the box today, just keep it simple and be better than yesterday!
